Cleopatra is a good looking young woman from Los Angeles who would like nothing more than to get out of the nexus and back to reality in order to continue to pursue her dream of being a movie star.

Born and raised in North Hollywood, Cleopatra was a middle child who was always in the shadow of her brilliant and athletic older brother Ramses and often ignored for her prettier and more philosophical younger sister Nefertiti. Yes her parents did have an obsession with Egyptian history, how did you notice? They were both professors of archeology at UCLA and hoped their children would follow in their footsteps as scholars and academics.

Cleopatra did not do very well in high school due to spending all of her time socializing instead of studying, but was not bothered much by this as she did not have any great academic goals. She went to Los Angeles Community College for two years and received an Associates degree in Theater Arts, although her teachers often criticized her for overacting and trying to upstage everyone else.

After an angry riff with her parents about where her life was going, Cleopatra moved out and into a loft Downtown which she could not come close to affording. Desperate for money she applied for a job as a filing assistant at the Los Angeles branch of Crystalmir Corporation and was able to charm her way into the rather generous pay scale and benefits that Crystalmir gives its workers.

Although it was not a very glamorous occupation, Cleopatra found herself happy with the work, most of the other men and women in the secretarial pool were either aspiring actresses or recovering aspiring actresses and she made all sorts of useful contacts and even managed to land a few parts as background eye candy in B-movies. After a few drinks Cleopatra will tell anyone who will listen about how she really transcended the role of "Victim #3" in "Zombie Stripper Massacre."

All was going great, however, until a gaffe involving a joke about the hairpiece of a member of the board of directors that Cleopatra accidentally sent to the entire office instead of just her friend resulted in a demotion.

Cleopatra begged her supervisor to re-promote her. She was on the final call for a part that actually had a name for the first time in her life but she couldn't afford to make rent at the lower pay rate. Her supervisor told her the only way she could get back to her old salary was to transfer to the up and coming St. Germaine division, which could use a good filing assistant like her. After doing a three month stint there, her supervisor promised her she could return at her old pay to Los Angeles.

Cleopatra thought a few months in an island paradise would be ideal. So she flew off to St. Germaine...and was never seen again as Hurricane Melissa struck a few days later and swept the island into the Nexus.

After realizing that there was no return home, Cleopatra became bitter and unpleasant and earned the wrath of her old supervisor who was fed up with her pettiness and unhelpful attitude. He decided to label her as an "acquisitions specialist" and send her to the special branch that was being put together, but retain enough control over her that he could recall her for the occasional embarrassing assignment.

As the company's only "Acquisition Specialist on Secondment from the Secretarial Pool" Cleopatra has decided to put her bad attitude behind her and just try to help as many people as she can. She figures if she ever does get out of here they might go see her movies if she saves their lives.
